Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your GameRot account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1, In the app (immediate)

Open GameRot
Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner
Tap Delete account
Confirm when asked

Deletion happens straight away, there is no waiting period and no need to contact support. If your session is old, you may be asked to sign in once more to confirm it is really you; this is a security requirement, and deletion proceeds immediately after.

Option 2, By email (if you no longer have the app)

Email askgamerot@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “GameRot account deletion request”.

We will verify the request comes from the account owner and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will email you when it is done.

What gets deleted

Data	What happens
Your account (Firebase Authentication record)	Deleted permanently
Name, email address, profile photo	Deleted permanently with the account
Apple sign-in token	Revoked, if you signed in with Apple
High scores	Erased from your device
Analytics events already recorded	Anonymised; no longer linked to you

This cannot be undone. Deleting your account permanently removes your high scores. Signing up again later starts you from zero.

Prefer to just sign out?

Signing out keeps your account intact and you can sign back in any time. Use Log out on the profile screen instead. You can also keep playing every game without an account at all.
